Yes or no?

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

If you're not going to surrender to God and walk in His will with joy, then don't walk at all. You have not totally surrendered. Stop complaining about how hard it is, you didn't sign up for a luxury camp. God does not revel in self-sacrifice nor the giving of self to suffering like it's oh-so-hard. He is more inclined to look over your shoulder because you are obedient, not because you have stored treasures in the bank of pain. Obedience should overtake you, your delight should be in doing the will of God and in His law. Through this you will know for yourself if you are really willing to lay down your life and your desires for Him, or if you're just doing it for show... which is pathetic if you are. Consider it pure joy or don't consider it at all. God isn't looking for martyrs, He is looking for men who will live for Him. If you want to quit, quit now. If not, shut up, be brave, and be prepared to trip over 100 times more. Yes, to go where you're heading you need to be a lot stronger than this.
