SOMEONE, not ANYONE...

Isn't it true? That we all long to have someone listen to us, but we usually want SOMEONE and not just ANYONE? We want SOMEONE to understand us, not just ANYONE? We want SOMEONE to know what our thoughts are, what we're going through, not just ANYONE? We want SOMEONE to celebrate with us in tiny victories, not just ANYONE?

We know God listens, but we still long for that one companion to sit with us. We want SOMEONE that is like Jesus with skin on, not just ANYONE. There'll always be ANYONE, but to have SOMEONE?... that's rare.

That, is the irony of it all.
