Tragic

Didn't mean to mention this right after birthday wishes..
But ya, Penang was quite badly affected (in Malaysia).. confirmed 38 dead at press time.. more missing.

As far as I know, cars were swept away along Gurney, Tanjung Tokong..
My mom's fren's neighbour's fren.. whole family died..
My fren's family fren's family.. quite a number of them died going on a fishing trip..
Saw a damaged car along Gurney with my church sunshades on TV3's news.. hope they are fine..
The area in front of my mom's school was wrecked..
Scenes looked so familiar as the clips were shown on TV.. it's like home.. cos it is home..

Hmmm... the thing is, it's so near my house yet it doesn't hit me super duper hard that a natural disaster has swept my home town.. maybe cos life resumes normally and those who were not affected didn't feel the effects of the tidal wave.. except for the tremors..
or
maybe it is overshadowed by the fact that thousands are dead in other countries.. and that the damage sustained by Penang isn't as bad as the other places..

Nonetheless.. let's hope every missing person is found soon..
